Great Basin Wildrye is a grass that is native to Montana and the American west.  It can grow grown between three and six feet tall and can be spotted around our hometown of Bozeman.  Our Wildrye Rye is crafted by hand, one batch at a time, using carefully selected ingredients.  It is rested in our Five Drops Bourbon Barrels until it’s spicy but smooth character, with notes of vanilla, is just right.  We then finish it with pure Montana mountain water.  Like its namesake, Wildrye Rye is a unique part of Montana that you too can find if you know what to look for.

The Wildrye Sazerac

Spray a martini glass with Absinthe

Add ice to top of glass and combine:

  • 3 Dashes Peychaud’s Bitters
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1 Dropper of Wormwood Extract
  • ½ oz Brown Sugar Simple Syrup
  • 1 oz Wildrye Rye

Garnish with orange peel and a cherry.
